Beauty and Elegance!
5/ 5stars

I had one more curtain rod in my home that I could potentially replace, so I was excited to install this curtain rod from Haven. The rod itself is very pretty and the color is somewhere between a bronze and a gold - bronze-gold, maybe I really like the tiered square decorative end, too. This Haven c urtain rod absolutely adds beauty to any room and can dress up any curtain, if that's part of the goal - and it was for me. The curtain rod is 36 inches long and expands to 72 inches, and I probably could have gotten away with just using the rod without its extension. However, the basement (my husband's workspace) is akin to a black hole, so storing it there would likely just be a bad idea. I was also concerned that given the rod seemed to barely reach the brackets that were already there, that it may stretch the rod too far, weaken it and separate it when opening the curtains. In the end, I decided to use the extension. Using the extension for that particular window places the square ends about 1 inch out on either side, but that's fine for the master bedroom. I did notice that when opening the curtains, the rod moved to the right because it snagged on the plastic ring in the middle. To avoid this, I ensured that the plastic in the middle joining the pieces created a seamless rod to prevent the curtain from getting hung up in the center of the rod. This Haven curtain rod is elegant and beautfiul, and brings out the bronze design in the darkening heat-regulating curtains that I also purchased at Wal-mart. These heat-regulating curtains do their job, but they are not fancy, so the curtain rod helps dress them up a bit. The rod is not heavy at all, but it isn't too light, either. The craftsmanship is outstanding and so is the quality. It comes with the brackets to hold the 1 inch rod - and you will likely need to use these. For now, I didn't use them, though, and we simply made the part that holds the rod bigger to accommodate the 1-inch rod. If I were to use this curtain rod in my living room (larger window), I would definitely install the brackets that came with the curtain and the supporting middle bracket. They are heavier and are truly meant to be used with this curtain rod. Overall, the Haven curtain rod has a price point that is about what you would expect for its craftsmanship, beauty and elegance. Beautiful

This is a very nice curtain rod. It's very sturdy, and durable. Is heavier than your run of the mill rod. The materials used to make the rod seem to be of high quality and the rod puts off a very subtle appearance that looks expensive. Installation was easy. Make sure to use dry wall screws cause th e weight of the rod plus the weight of your curtain you are going to need the extra support. Very pleased with the overall appearance and I can see myself holding on to this rod for a long time. It's more of a timeless piece. Read more

Love the Look but How to Assemble
3/ 5stars

We currently have a curtain rod over a back sliding door that holds a fairly heavy blackout curtain. It is functional and works ok. But it is thin and a little flimsy. I wanted a rod that was elegant but also strong enough to hold the curtains we're currently using. I was glad to be able to try this rod in hopes it would serve us well. This is a beautiful curtain rod. I was surprised to see just how high-end it looked. It is a beautiful antique silver color, and has nice large square ends with rounded edges. The only issue I have is with the instructions. They leave much to be desired. I would like to have words along with the pictures. The reason is because I have three rod pieces but cannot get the middle extension piece inserted. I don't know if I should force it or is there a piece I need to remove And with the lack of instructions, there's no way for me to tell. There aren't any instructions to help me troubleshoot. In spite of this, the rod comes with all the necessary pieces (screws and brackets) for quick installation and looks great. Read more

Stunning

Elegant. Stunning. Great Quality. The set comes with everything you need to hang the rod. Well, except the power drill. I did make the mistake and think that I could just pop this one in the current brackets already up for my current rod. Umm..WRONG! The rod holder fits this rod perfectly. On the of f chance that you already have something similar up, you may be able to use it. To be safe, I suggest you to just install the ones included with this. Better safe than sorry, right The brackets included are strong and ensure that the rod is secure. The rod held my very old and very very heavy curtains up with no problem. No dipping in the middle because of the weight at all. This, my friends, is what I call victory. Love it! Read more

Fancy looking

These rods were a lot fancier and heavier than I was expecting. They look like you paid mucho bucks for them. The rod itself is a bit thicker than I was thinking so I had a bit of a problem with a curtain that had a smaller opening, but I used it with some curtains that had a larger opening and it w orked out fine. I'm proud to showcase these. Read more
