Product quit working after just a few uses
1/ 5stars

Quit working after using them about five times. The volume gradually began fading out and then one day they just turned off. They were fully charged too. I've tried all of the online trouble shooting techniques but to no avail. The headphones won't even turn on. I'm currently in the process of takin g care of this issue through Amazon Customer Service and they have been helpful thus far. Read more

Spend half the money on an MPOW instead
1/ 5stars

Utter crap. They drop connection often and have an effective range of about two feet. Wireless headphones should at least match the range afforded by wired headphones. At least the disconnect beep sounds nice.

Great pair of wireless headphones.
5/ 5stars

They work perfectly, and I get a full range of motion for my head without worry of connectivity problems... Sound quality is great, personally I prefer these to the Beats or whatever, the Skullcandy is noise canceling and because of this I feel that I get better and cleaner sound. The battery doesn' t last quite as long as some on the market, but honestly you could buy 3 of these for the price of one Beats, and when one dies you can just put on another lol. Plus, these are not bulky in the ear, so because they put all that bulk behind your neck, you're left with a comfortable and lightweight ear bud. Don't cheap out on the off brands, if you're looking at beats but can't afford, consider Skullcandy for these afformentioned points! Read more

two main issues
3/ 5stars

what i absolutely hate about these is the stupid beeping it makes every 20 seconds when the battery gets to 30. like, you think they wouldve learned by now that nobody in the universe has ever wanted something that will interrupt their music every 20 seconds to tell you that the battery is still low .. you know, just in case you keep forgetting and no longer wish to enjoy your music.the second star knocked off is because the cable connecting the two earbuds is really long and the battery pack is really heavy, so it will flop all over the place and pull your earbuds out. so running with these bad boys is a nightmare.other than that they're pretty good. Good audio, decent microphone, not overly cumbersome.
4/ 5stars

On my quest for good Bluetooth headphones (thank you Apple for taking away my 3.5 mm headphone jack) I think this is the best set that I've found. I'm used to ear buds with an inline microphone and these almost totally fit the bill. First thing I did was ditch the plastic piece though, it was just a n annoyance. Generally (unless I'm at the gym and actually listening to music to listen to music - as opposed to just wanting background noise) I have one headphone in my ear (the one with the inline mic) and the bulky middle piece (battery pack) I tuck into my shirt collar. I get awesome audio from these, something I've grown to expect from Skullcandy, and the microphone is pretty decent too. It isn't the same as my corded headphones but I think I've found my new daily driver. Read more

Sound good but annoying
2/ 5stars

2 things- battery life is not as advertised. Only lasted me 3 hours. Problem 2 was that for the last 45-30 minutes of my battery life it gave me incessant aggressive and annoying beeps to tell me that it was dying. But instead of just doing it once it does it MULTIPLE times for the last amount of yo ur battery life. Meaning most of whatever you're going to be listening to is going to be covered by loud beeping.Skull candy- you make great headphones. Sound quality is just what I need. But your product is annoying. How bout a 5 minute warning that says low battery and that's it. Do I really need to miss all my songs Read more

If 10/10 stars existed...
5/ 5stars

So much to say for just one product! First off, buy these, they are great. Now let me break it all down-Many negative reviews state issue like:-Low battery life-Poorly Designed Button Layout-Neck Piece Design Enables Them To Slide Down Constantly-Difficulty Trying To Pair To Device-Low Battery Warnin g Is Too Frequent/Annoying-Instructions Are Hard To FollowSo, let me explain my experience with this product- Ill start by saying that this is my third pair of these exact BT earbuds, along with buying these two separate times as a gift, and I would not continue purchasing an item that had some serious flaws. I originally had the white pair (which I regretted getting them in white after like two days lols!) they show an incredible amount of dirt/wear almost immediately and effectively get stained because even after cleaning them they remained dirty looking- fast forward to an irresponsible me- leaving said headphones on couch where adorable dog chewed them to shreds, I had to replace them! I (obviously) went with the same headphones in Black that time around and was so happy I did! The advertised battery life for these guys is 6 hours. 6 whole hours, not 8-not 12...6 HOURS- and you know what They last me pretty consistently about 6 hours assuming I have my tunes cranked up pretty loud. If I spend most of the time with the tunes pretty low, like lets say 4/10 on the volume scale, they have lasted me closer to 7+1/2 hours. Quite a few reviews complaining that they only last about 6hours....that is what they are made to do...so.....whatThe neck band that goes on the back of your neck is designed to release the wired part if it is not preferred, and I seriously question how many people have figured that out based on complaints about the neck band itself. If you dont like this feature they literally made it a thing that can be removed- so I have included pictures of instructions along with actual pictures of mine where I have removed said piece for everyone to see how to do it. Hopefully that fixes this issue for many users. I am also including pictures of the written instructions in 3 different languages because there have been complaints that the skullcandy website does not give detailed instructions for this product (which they in fact, do..ehem: https://www.skullcandy.com/content/smokin-buds-2-wireless-setup-instructions.pdf) but I will provide pics anyways. The instructions for these guys are fairly simple to me, I have in fact joked about how these BT earbuds are quite idiot proof when I let my 6 year old niece use them for her tablet. Turn on your devices Bluetooth (phone/tablet/etc)- then on the earbuds- that button in the middle, you hold that down for about 5-10 seconds to make the earbuds discoverable and bam, youre paired and ready to, quite literally- rock.In my experience with these I find that when I get the low battery warning (a beeping at whatever volume you have them set to) I usually ignore the first one/two warnings then plug them in, if you ignore the warning beeps long enough they turn from 2 beeps to 4 to 6 more frequently and then finally die. They take longer to charge when you allow them to discharge completely, so I like to pug them in as soon as I get that first or second warning, seems to charge a bit faster that way and last just as long as if I had let them discharge fully. I usually leave them plugged in for about 45 mins- 1 hour and they are good to go for another 6 hours. I hope this review has been useful for many future/current owners of these BT earbuds. I love this product and believe in the skullcandy product lines so much. This is probably the longest and most in depth review I have ever written because I love this brand so much. I remember being like 16 years old and not being able to afford the fancy top of the line headphones/earbuds and when I discovered skullcandy, they had and have continued to have amazing quality that is affordable and its very much appreciated. I have owned similar quality BT earbuds that cost me 80-125 and for what These are just as good quality for about 40 USA. If you value your money, time, and appreciate good quality products then these are for you. Read more

I dont recommend for use with Apple devices.
2/ 5stars

Pros: I like the noise cancellation of these headsets. Not that I recommend it, but when playing music, its very easy to completely tune out all outside noise without putting your hearing in jeopardy. The header it pretty comfortable its eay to forget that youre wearing them.Cons: the headset does N OT fully support iOS features (Siri). This is the biggest issue I have so far. Who makes headsets that dont allow you to activate Siri (iPhone X).Theres some kind of issue with transitioning from outdoors to indoors while on the phone. On numerous occassions, Id enter a building or bus where its a much quieter environment than where I was before to have the person I was talking to no longer be able to hear a word I said, require us to hang up and redial one another. I dont believe these occurrences were related to signal. Finally, while listening to music from my phone, if I placed my phone in my pocket, the Bluetooth connection would go haywire, making the music sound garbled.I wouldnt recommend these headsets - especially not for anyone using them with an Apple device. They sounded pretty good, not phenomenal
2/ 5stars

I purchased these headphones two months ago. Initially, I was thrilled with them. They sounded pretty good, not phenomenal, but pretty good. They connected to my mp3 player, phone, and such easily, and though the neckband piece wouldn't ever stay around my neck (always slipped off and down my back, which I fixed with a small plastic alligator clip), I still enjoyed them. Now, They will not connect to anything I own, nor do they connect to three other devices I have tried that other people own (two phones and an mp3 player). I have treated these headphones extremely well, never dropping, leaving turned on without using, never overcharging or charging needlessly, never getting wet, etc. No reason for them to just quit. The last pair I purchased before these was an inexpensive pair at Walmart. Didn't sound quite as good, but they did sound good enough, and they worked great for over a year until stolen. They also cost half as much. This will be the last product I ever purchase from Skull Candy, and will tell people I know that they are not very good products. Read more

Good if you have a small neck!
4/ 5stars

I love Skullcandy. I haven't bought any other kind of headphone in the last 10 years and they have never let me down. I even like these! They sound great and work amazingly well with my aging tablet. The only problem I have with them is that they don't stay on my neck if I'm doing anything more than sitting still. I'm a big guy, so they might work better with a smaller neck, but if you've got a big neck then I suggest you put in the money for a higher end Skullcandy earbud, something I'm going to be doing shortly and handing these off to my son who can wear them without any problem. One Year Update: I've been thinking about replacing these for a while because of the problem I have with them falling off my neck, and here it is a year later and it looks like I don't have a choice anymore. The play/pause button that also turns the earbuds on and off hasn't been working. I'm having to repeatedly hold down the button to get them to turn on or turn off. I've used the hell out of these buds and by no means do I think this is a bad purchase (leaving my overall at 4 stars) but if you plan on using your buds a lot just be aware that these may not last you for very long.
